So I was on this big huge binge, sorting photos and post-processing RAW files, when I discovered that ~30% of my finished work, RAW files and JPEG alike, are simply *gone* or have become corrupt, and unreadable by anything more than a hex editor.
What this results in is one very, very, Very pissed off bluefoxx, and the loss of a good amount of ~6 months of photography.
And yes, I do backup, but I apparently failed to catch this between the last two backups, and thus, the current backup is just as bad.
I suspect that the drive may be at fault here, which is just fucking great.
Now I get to add new hard drives to the list of parts I don't have money to replace, in addition to paying off Jax, and a big pile of other shit I wish I had money for.
If anyone in vancouver knows of a place willing to hire someone who suffers insomnia to the point that they can't sleep more than two solid hours at a time, drop me a line...
